Oval Blood Stone

A classic signet ring made with 925 sterling silver with embossed lines on the shoulders of the ring and a rare blood stone on the top plate. Blood Stone is a deep colored stone with inclusions of iron oxide or red jasper giving each single stone a unique look. The red inclusions are supposed to resemble spots of blood, hence the name.

Back in the days ancient warriors often carried the stone as they believed it had a healing effect to stop bleeding. The most widely known legend of this stone comes from the Middle Ages and claims the Blood Stone was formed at the cruci xion of Jesus Christ, when the blood of his wounds fell onto the dark green earth and turned to stone.

Tom Wood signets are made out of solid silver and gold, enabling you to engrave the ring with your own hidden message inside the ring.
